Immortal fakir Bapu Ganga Das Maharaj ji ki Jai
The entire Punjab is filled with the history of the Pirs, Fakirs, Masts, Kalandars, Warriors, Heroes, Martyrs, Followers, Hatha Japis, Tapis, where every village of Punjab has some history or story which proves the above things as true on the basis of facts. Provided that its search and investigation is done with dedication and hard work, then it comes out clearly from every aspect.
Yes, friends, to keep this matter in front of the Sangat, today we will talk about the court of the incarnate great man Almast Fakir Bapu Ganga Das Ji of Mahilpur, District Hoshiarpur, and others.
Bapu Ganga Das Ji’s arrival in Mahilpur
The story is around 1960. The incarnate great man is known, the one who knows little by little, the one who can save the hidden, the one who can quench the hearts. When Swaran Singh Bains, who was a resident of Mahilpur and was known as Gadde Wale, who had been associated with the immortal fakir Bapu Ganga Das Ji for many generations, started passing by the house of others (as the rules of the ceremony had already been decided), Avtar Singh Bains, who was the son of Swaran Singh Bains, saw the beautiful locks on Bapu Ganga Das Ji’s head and the radiant beauty on his face. He immediately said in his heart that he wanted to serve these great men. But as soon as he thought about this, his father Swaran Singh Bains came to the attention of others that he was very strict in nature. Thinking that they would not accept this, he remained silent for a few moments, then he changed his mind and went to his father Swaran Singh Bains and others and told them that such a great man had come to the cattle and had a very bright face and a head covered in hair. Bains and others immediately told Avtar Singh Bains to serve him, serve him langar, offer him prasadam, and provide him with a throne and a seat. Bapu Ganga Das Ji said, “We are not going to provide him with a throne or a seat.”
Then Bapu Ganga Das Ji made a smoke there under a mango tree and Bapu Ganga Das Ji stayed there on the smoke for about a month and a half.
During this month and a half, while Bapu Ganga Das Ji applied Bibhut on his body, sat on the smoke and performed Bandagi and performed Aarti himself. Meanwhile, the owner of that house, Swaran Singh Gadde Wale (who was a Karmic saint of his time who gave priority to his work), whose family His eldest daughter Dalwinder Kaur, Surinder Kaur, sons Avtar Singh Bains, Baldev Singh Bains, Mahinder Singh Bains, Jarnail Singh Bains, among whom Bapu Ganga Das Ji used to apply the Dhuna, Swaran Singh Bains and others used to apply the Dhuna, and Bibi Surinder Kaur and others were of the opinion that they should go abroad for pilgrimage. They were applying the Dhuna of Bapu Ji, when Bapu Ji, who knew the hearts, said that they should go abroad for pilgrimage, they would go and Bapu Ji’s words came true at the appointed time. Four generations of Surinder Kaur and others are permanently living in Walter (England) and even today they sing the praises of Bapu Ji. After about a month and a half, Bapu Ganga Das Ji started to leave from there, Swaran Singh Bains and others asked Bapu Ji where will you go now, stay here, but Bapu Ji, looking at Swaran Singh Bains and others with very loving eyes, said that time is running out. Come and come and come and after about 41 years on 14th April 2001 Bapu Ji again came to the Bains family and then took his ashes on a permanent basis. So friends, if we start describing the incidents witnessed and experienced by Bapu Ji’s followers, then it is not possible to estimate how much time it will take, but still, the current chief servant of the Darbar, Das Mandeep Singh Bains and others believe that they will continue to make every effort to provide every information to Bapu Ji’s followers sitting in the country and abroad. Here we are definitely making an effort to share some incidents with the followers, in which first of all, there was a misconception among the lovers about Bapu Ji’s sect, it is quite clear that Bapu belonged to the Udasin sect and their Guru Ji was Baba Kishan Das Ji and Bapu Kumbh Das Ji, who is famous as *Rab Ji Ji in the Doaba as well as in the country and abroad. Das Ji was a disciple of Bapu Kumbh Das Ji and Bapu Ganga Das Ji gave the name of God to Bapu Kumbh Das Ji and Bapu Kumbh Das Ji was first addressed with the name of God by Saiin Data Ali Ahmed Sarkar of Mandhali Sharif and others during a special meeting of great men at the court itself.
Bapu Ji respected every religion very much. Once, a servant from Banga came to the heart of a servant and thought of conducting Akhand Path Sahib of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at the court. With this thought, some servants present also got permission through the prayers of the great men. But at that time, the situation was becoming different and everyone was afraid that this was Bapu Ji’s court. Who would tell Bapu Ji that Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is coming to the court and you should wear a robe to cover your head, but in this situation, the servants were with him. The Guru Granth Sahib was brought from the Gurudwara Sahib with great devotion. The entire Sangat and the servants were amazed when Bapu Ji welcomed the arrival of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji by placing a turban on his head and placing two bottles of mustard oil on both sides of the door. Bapu Ji respected every religion very much.
He had the same kind of darshan with which he used to come to the court. This time a servant who came to the court for the first time on the advice of a lover and was a great devotee of Bhole Shankar and had some doubts in his mind came to the court and bowed down to Bapu Ji and sat down. As soon as the thought of Bhole Shankar sitting in front of him came to his mind, the servants saw Bhole Shankar in the Bapu Ji sitting in front of him.
